Service Puppy Raising

Meet Aspen

Aspen soon after she arrived at our home by private jet from California, from the breading facilities of Canine Companions.
Lady, my 4 year old Golden Retriever, did NOT like the little black bundle of energy when she first arrived. Aspen quickly discovered that Lady's tail made a wonderful play toy. Lady was extremely patient and kind with Aspen and soon became an integral part of Aspen's training. It didn't take long for them to become good friends. As Aspen learns, Lady is always there watching over Aspen.
Aspen is the first puppy we are raising for Canine Companions. Aspen came to us in July of 2025 and will leave us in August of 2026. During the times she is with us, she will learn basic obedience and how to behave in public places and around people and other animals.
