Colored sashes are very popular, but figuring out what to do with them for the reception can be a puzzle. The easiest answer is to tie the sash in a bow large enough to bring the tails up off the floor, but many brides do not like the bow look. Most wide sashes can be tied so that the bow sits under the tails like this gown.

We tried tying a bow on this sash but the bride did not like the look at all, so I created a loop just under the top of the sash and she used that to hold the tail of the sash off the floor for the reception. The fine chifon of the sash made a subtile loop that laid flat on the bride's butt. She loved it.
